I Only Dwell With Thee...

As always, Thursday I woke up and went to my German course.  I received my Inlingua over the shoulder book bag which I LOVE!!!!  I was really excited to get it and am happy to have an over the shoulder bag for every day use.  It is nicely sized and is great for hauling my books around.  It looks more fashionable than a backpack and says 'Inlingua' on it which I think is cool seeing as though it is the school I go to! The only thing I do not like though is the fact that it makes me look like a foreigner.  I am not such a fan of this.  When I explained this to Robert he laughed and said, "Molly, you ARE a foreigner." Robert met me for lunch and let me pick where we went.  Of course, I wanted a bowl of my faaaavorite: Soljanka soup!   I know he would have definitely rather had something else, but we went to the soup place anyway!  Afterwards, while we were walking to the Bäkerei-Factory to get some brötchen I spotted these men singing and playing the accordion.  We gave them some money and I got a picture taken with them for fun.  I do not think this is so normal so have pictures taken, but I thought it would be cool for you to see anyway!  They sang REALLY well and was fun to listen to.  Very cheery and German sounding.  It was great :)

Robert picked me up some Shoko-Brötchen at the Bäkerei-Factory which I will eat Friday morning before my German course or snack on during our breaks.  I do not imagine I will want to eat it so early in the morning, but we will see!  It has been around 2 weeks since my last one and I am excited to eat it!
Robert took the afternoon off from work, and so we relaxed at home together.  I really enjoyed this because he has been busy lately and that extra time was wonderful.  While Robert was at practice I finished my grocery list as we will shop for groceries Friday afternoon following my German course.  Robert insists on going, but I prefer grocery shopping alone.  I get through the store quicker and there is no discussion of what we buy.  I am the cook, therefor I should choose what to buy based up on our budget and be on my way with it.  He does not see it this way.  However, in the end, it is nice he would like to go with me and so I will not argue.  I followed this by reading a bit from Eragon.  The book is keeping me on my toes and I am really enjoying it.  It has 754 pages and I am hoping to finish it by the end of next week.
Friday I woke up to the weirdest dream!  Robert, his mother and I were all in grandma and grandpa's old house at Whispering Pines.  We were watching a Television program in German and all of a sudden I heard this constant ringing.  I asked both of them if they heard anything (this whole conversation was in German)  they didn't.  So I told them to put the Television on mute.  They did, and we all heard it.  Ringing, ringing, ringing.  Mind you, this was around 1 am, so this was really strange.  I told Robert to check the front door, he did and no one was there.  So he checked the door by the garage, he didn't see anyone.  I looked and say two little bodies standing there.  A little boy and a tiny baby.  I asked them what was wrong and they didn't reply.  I then realized that they spoke Spanish and asked them what they wanted in Spanish...the little boy just looked behind him down through the trees and up towards the road.  There stood a woman.  I can distinctly remember her eyes.  They looked incredibly drugged, watery, red, and dramatically huge.  It was very VERY disturbing.  I realized that these were here children and that she wanted something.  She lifted her right hand and pointed a finger at me...a very long pale finger.  I went upstairs and Betsy was up there.  We were in Amy's old room at our old house at Alpine Village (the one mom used to have as a child) and Betsy and I began wrapping four presents.  Mostly candles and things like that.  We wrapped them in Christmas wrapping paper.  Then I someone open the door beneath the stairs and I looked at Betsy and said They better not be stealing ANYTHING or else I am really mad.  I ran downstairs and the woman and her two children were there.  The woman walked towards me with her hand held out.  I yelled at her that I am already offering her something and she has no right to be so disrespectful and come into my house like this uninvited and STEAL from me when I am doing something nice for her.  She met me halfway up the steps and opened her hand.  Inside was a very small candle.  I took it and told her to wait and to not touch anything.  I ran back upstairs where Betsy and I gathered the gifts.  I told her that I was nervous about her hugging us after she received them.  Would she put a knife in our backs?  Would she hurt us..? Betsy told me that we could watch each others backs, run behind the other while we hug her and make sure each other is safe.  RIIIIIIING...my alarm clock went off.  OBNOXIOUS.  Was  terrifying even if it doesn't sound like it.  However, I still would have liked to see the ending.
After my German course Robert and I went grocery shopping. We ended up spending 47 which would have NEVER happened if I had just gone by myself.  I told him that I will go by myself next week and spend only 13€ or so as we bought a lot of unnecessary items this week.  Peanut Butter being one of them, but I wanted it so bad.  And Robert ate a lot of it for lunch which was hilarious because he was so skeptical about spending the money on it. As far as spending less money next time, I think it will be easy to do. I just have to be really careful with what I am buying.  After grocery shopping we came home and had lunch together.  I finished my German homework for the weekend and read more from my book.  This evening Robert wanted to have pizza.  STORE bought pizza.  He insisted we each got our own.  I ate an 8th of mine. He ate his and the rest of mine.  I now understand why he insisted we have our own.  Hungry boy :) I finished the night with reading from Eragon and then drifting off to sleep.
Saturday I went to Robert's mom's house.  He had an away game and so I usually stay at his parents on weekends where his games are away.  He then comes later in the evening to his parent's house and we relax all Sunday morning with them.  Well, this weekend Robert's nephew Elias (Ay-Lee-Us) was there.  We spent so much time together.  He can only speak German, so I was in a household of full German Language.  This is how is always is at his parent's house though as they have no English knowledge.  We played so many board games, chasing games, tickling, video games, a game where we had these things that shot the balls in the air and we had to catch them (see picture below) In the evening he usually always insists on snuggeling with Omiiii (grandma) and Saturday evening he asked her if it was ok if he snuggled with ME on the couch before going to bed.  It was ADORABLE and she was shocked.  I think she liked it though that he had so much fun with me.
In the Afternoon while Robert's dad and Elias were in town for a Handball game (Robert's dad coaches a girls handball team; the girls are in their mid 20's)Robert's mom and I walked 2 miles into town to pick up some groceries and such.  She purchased a new scarf, some ear muffs, and some lip balm for me (as I had forgotten mine)  Afterwards she made me some homemade Soljanka soup!!!!  It was a bit different than the one we have at the soup house in Central Halle, but it was delicious!  She bought us a bit of groceries and gave us a lot of the food to take home for eating throughout the week.  She and Lothar (his dad) bought us a coffee machine and some really good coffee!  I am really excited to try it out as we have been drinking instant Coffee, which surprisingly is quite tasty. She is always giving us things to take home with us. Once we got home from our trip into town I took a warm bath.  I read my book while taking my bath and after some time Robert's mom called up the stairs to me if I wanted to come down for Abend Brot (evening bread) and that it was already 7:30pm.  I was in the bath for almost 2 hours reading!!!!  Oh how time flies when you are caught in a wonderful book.
Around 1:30am Sunday morning Robert arrived at his parent's house.  It was nice having him back so early.  His away games are usually 5-6 hours away which means that he usually is back around 3 or 4am.  His game this weekend wasn't as far away, so that was really nice.  For Lunch Robert's mom made some sort of vegetable which I have never had in my life which was amazing!  It tasted so incredibly good and I would love to learn what it was.  The reason I am unsure is because the translation from German to English means nothing really.  Well, it means something...but no vegetable of existence in the English Language! After lunch, I played with Elias a bit more until it was time for Lothar and Elias to leave for the train station back to Berlin. Once Elias and Lothar left, Robert and I laid down for our normal Sunday Movie, 'The Painted Veil,'  with Edward Norton and Naomi Watts.  I love this movie, but I think it would be hard to find a movie which casts Edward Norton that isn't good.
It is now Sunday, evening and I am in the flat eating some Gummibärens which Robert's mom sent home with us!  YUM!   Robert is at his Handball Manager's house having dinner with his mates.  They do this about two Sunday's a month.  The rest of the evening I plan on laying in bed, relaxing with my book.  This sunday was full of laughter, love, and relaxation.  I cannot think of a better way to spend a Sunday :)

This is a picture taken today by Elias of Robert and I sitting at table before Lunch while at his Parent's house.
